Dylan Ghaemi

Originally from Fairport, NY, Dylan Ghaemi began his hockey journey at age seven with the Perinton Blades. By 15, he advanced to the Syracuse Stars, where he refined his skills over two seasons. His junior career took him through teams in New Hampshire, New Jersey, and Maine before returning home to Fairport High School. There, he set New York State high school records for save percentage, shutouts, and goals against average, earning NYSPHSAA Player of the Year Honorable Mention.

Ghaemi went on to play junior hockey with the Red Lake Miners (SIJHL) and Estevan Bruins (SJHL) before finishing his junior career overseas with Karlskrona HK and Järvsö IK in Sweden. In 2022, he became the first-ever commit to Stonehill College’s men’s ice hockey team after the program elevated to NCAA Division I. Now a junior, he’s a Dean’s List student pursuing a pre-law degree, with plans to attend Syracuse University in Fall 2026 for his JD and MBA while serving as a graduate assistant for Syracuse’s men’s hockey team.

As a coach and mentor, Ghaemi brings deep experience from working with top North American goalie coaches throughout his career. His coaching philosophy focuses on building strong fundamentals while keeping development enjoyable and mentally engaging. He understands the psychological demands of goaltending and aims to help athletes develop both physical and mental resilience.

In addition to coaching, Ghaemi plays a key role at IceBreakers Advisory, where he supports athletes through team placements, NIL negotiations, and holistic career planning. He is also a proud member of “Hope Happens Here,” at Stonehill College, promoting mental health awareness within the student-athlete community.
